Business Development Professional Costs less than Advertising!!

As you may  already know,  I was previously a Director of Marketing for a large National University system throughout the United States. I ranked #7 in the USA and #1 in California. As the director I use to run different market campaigns everything from Newspaper ads, radio, print, publications, trade-shows, Tv, online, web,  etc. And what I found out was that having a business development person go market to the target market was much more affordable than many of the other leads we paid for. For example, we could run an ad in the newspaper that would cost $5000, say we generated 20 qualified leads, the cost per lead would then be $250 per person. Another campaign could be a trade show, say the trade show cost us $2000 in total. We then picked up 100 leads, each leads was $20, not a bad return. Or you can send your BD client to a venue that’s $75, they meet 15 people, 7 are qualified leads in your market and your cost is $10.71 per lead.
